Since 2010, Race for Water has been leading international odysseys to carry out its mission program, thanks to the support of dedicated patrons, companies, and foundations. l A NEW ODYSSEY EXPLORING THE LINKS BETWEEN THE OCEAN AND THE CLIMATE.
In May 2025, Race for Water launched its new expedition, the Ocean & Climate Odyssey, aboard a new ambassador vessel : the MODX 70, an innovative catamaran with zero pollutant or noise emissions.
Building on the success of its first campaign, the Posidonia Mission conducted along the French Mediterranean coast, the Race for Water Foundation is already preparing the next stages of the Ocean & Climate Odyssey.
This new international adventure, with several missions deployed over three years, is dedicated to understanding the links between the ocean, climate, and biodiversity, and transforming this knowledge into a lever for collective action.
Continuing the legacy of its previous expeditions, this Odyssey embodies the implementation of the Foundation’s 3 flagship programs :
- LEARN – Conducting field investigations with scientific experts to better understand the ocean’s essential role in climate regulation and the preservation of life ;
- SHARE – Raising awareness among decision-makers, educating the public and young generations on ocean issues through stopovers, workshops and educational programmes;
- ACT – Promoting solutions that deliver long-term economic, environmental and social impact for the decarbonisation of maritime transport and the protection of marine ecosystems.
From the Mediterranean to the Atlantic and the Caribbean, each mission will serve as a space for cooperation and collective action, designed to place the ocean back at the heart of the decisions that shape our future.

l HOW TO SUPPORT US
You can take action today to advance science and protect the ocean — and the good news is that the process is simple, accessible, and may grant you tax benefits depending on your country of residence.
As Race for Water is a Swiss foundation recognized as serving the public interest, European donations can be made through Transnational Giving Europe (TGE). This network allows companies and patrons to benefit from the tax regulations of their own country. The donation is made via your country’s TGE partner, which directly issues the tax receipt in compliance with your national legislation.
For French companies, for example, 60% of the donation amount is tax-deductible from corporate income tax, up to a limit of 0.5% of annual turnover.
All companies can join us, regardless of their size, and we particularly encourage organizations wishing to make a long-term commitment to formalize their support through a sponsorship agreement or partnership.
These agreements make it possible to :
- Structure a multi-year commitment, providing the Foundation with the visibility needed to plan future actions effectively;
- Co-develop initiatives tailored to your CSR priorities, aligning your objectives with our scientific and educational programmes;
- Enhance the impact of your support and enable us to be more ambitious in delivering our missions, thanks to a stable and long-term partnership.
