Welcome to the new fashion x sustainability era!
On 28 October 2019, supermodel and producer Jessica Minh Anh will set another historic milestone, producing the first ever Solar-Powered Ocean Catwalk in the world.
Part of Jessica’s iconic Fashion x Sustainability Series, J Autumn Fashion Show 2019 is set atop the solar-powered engineering masterpiece, the Race For Water vessel in Hong Kong, premiering creative international fashion collections, while celebrating renewable energy innovation. Previous editions were held atop Hoover Dam in the US and Gemasolar power plant in Spain.
The high-impact, spectacular visual showcase will see fashion models cat-walking on the beautifully-aligned solar panels in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Shot as a documentary on fashion and sustainability, Jessica’s 22nd production will include her official site visit aboard the state-of-the-art vessel in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia on 5 September 2019, the Ocean Catwalk in Hong Kong, as well as interviews with industry experts. The Parisian supermodel-turned-producer is thrilled to be back in Malaysia, producing another ground-breaking event, having previously transformed its national monument – the Petronas Twin Towers’ Skybridge; into the world’s newest and most cutting-edge runway.

A full list of participating partners will be published early in October. Jessica has previously worked with global brands such as of Lancôme, Montblanc, Citroën, Paul Costelloe, and most recently with Soneva Luxury Resorts during her “Waste-to-Wealth” journey in the Maldives, among others.
More than a modern fashion statement, Jessica Minh Anh’s Autumn Fashion Show 2019 celebrates green initiatives to stimulate global mindsets towards renewable energy innovation and water preservation.
The Race for Water foundation fights to prevent plastic pollution in our oceans. Its mission is to take action on the ground by providing sustainable technological solutions. Currently docked in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, at the mid-point of its 2017-2021 Odyssey, the Race for Water ambassador vessel is travelling the globe’s seas to review the impact of plastic on the marine environment, to alert as many people as possible to this scourge and to offer local solutions to this global problem, thanks to a machine which transforms plastic waste into electric energy: the BIOGREEN.
