Race for Water: Mobilizing business networks for a sustainable ocean
The Race for Water foundation recently had the opportunity to present its mission, history and innovative projects at a meeting with Ty Work, a Breton business network.
Jeanne Noël-Métayer, the foundation's communications manager, led the presentation, raising awareness among network members of the climate emergency and the need to preserve the oceans.
A foundation born of environmental urgency
During this presentation, we shared the inspiring story of the Race for Water foundation, which was born out of an awareness of the major challenges facing our oceans. Since its creation, our mission has been clear: to preserve the Ocean from plastic pollution (2010-2023) and today from the impacts of climate change.
Through our two worldwide expeditions, we have been able to observe first-hand the effects of global warming. These experiences in the field have enabled us to develop concrete solutions for decarbonizing ships and promoting the use of renewable energies, in particular by means of veliac systems.
Engaging local networks for global action
We also took the opportunity to explain how we work with businesses, scientists and governments to transform environmental challenges into opportunities for change. In Brittany, a region deeply linked to the ocean, we see immense potential for mobilizing local players and developing innovative solutions.
This meeting is a further step in our drive to create an ecosystem of players committed to a more sustainable future. We are convinced that professional networks like Ty Work play a key role in this transition. By combining local expertise with a global vision, we can make ocean protection a priority for all.
We would like to thank the Ty Work network for its warm welcome and interest.
