Bound for the Samoan Islands... Mauruuru and Nana French Polynesia!

On stopover in French Polynesia since early October, Race for Water has just cast off for the Samoan Islands.

Jean-Marc Normant, captain: “We set sail from Papeete at around 11:00am local time on Friday. The initial routing is very positive and sees us make landfall in the port of Apia, Samoa, in a fortnight’s time. As such, the sailing conditions forecast are rather favourable. A 15 to 20-knot E/NE’ly breeze providing downwind conditions for 4 days should enable us to lengthen our stride.”
