The Green School in Bali
In the middle of the tropical forest of the Ubud, in Bali, the Green School, the school elected greenest in the world, has been conceived around the notion of sustainable development both in its construction and its school curriculum.
John and Cynthia Hardy, a couple of North-American expats, moved to Bali more than 30 years ago, after becoming aware of global warming.
In 2008, they founded the Green School with the aim of educating and empowering the future generations to for preserve the environment. Their vision is focused on creating a natural environment centred on student learning which stimulates creativity, curiosity and respect for biodiversity.
