The stopover is in full swing!

Between school visits and understanding the local situation, the Race for Water team is very busy in Puerto Princesa.

Some images of Peter Charaf and Christelle Prigeot-Mathieu testify to this...

Palawan province produces 300 tonnes of waste per day; the projection for 2023 is 416 tonnes per day, given the expected increase in population. While the Philippines unfortunately ranks third in the world in terms of plastic waste pollution, Palawan is one step ahead of the rest of the country in managing this disaster, including the banning of single-use plastics in three northern municipalities.

Nevertheless, the dump is well provided….

Hope is always present in the eyes and behaviour of the younger generation, who are always very attentive to the explanations provided by the Foundation’s team.
Christelle: “The students are attentive and concerned about the disaster represented by plastic pollution here in Asia”.
