That’s enough says the whale!

Sharing over and over again to explain to as many people as possible, and primarily to the young generation, who tomorrow will have to bear the consequences of our actions today.

In Papeete, there are already 11 classes of 25 students on average who have come along to meet up with the Race for Water crews and visit the vessel.

Virginie Caron, stopover manager: “Each time it’s an encounter, a discovery. The children are very attentive and receptive. They have questions that range from life aboard to how the kite works, and they are particularly struck when we teach them that an equivalent of a bin lorry of waste is tipped into the oceans every minute. They are accepting of the solutions we recommend to them, such as the 5R rule for example: refuse the pointless and reduce the non-essentials to limit the production of waste, reuse and repair where you can so as to extend the lifespan of products or recycle where possible and give a second life to products from daily life. The welcome we’ve received is really incredible and fills us with energy with every encounter.”

Between now and the end of the stopover in French Polynesia, nearly 500 children will have been welcomed on-board.
