Back in the Northern Hemisphere
Last Sunday at 1:30 in the morning, Race for Water crossed the famous parallel, the imaginary line drawn around the Earth, halfway between the north and south poles, marking the separation between the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere: The Equator of course!
The mixed-propulsion catamaran entered the southern hemisphere during its descent to Peru, on the 6th of March 2018 and left it yesterday, Sunday the 11th of August 2019, in the middle of the night, at 1:30 am local time! “Three blasts of the foghorn, just to wake everyone up, especially Margaux who had never crossed the Equator!” says Anne Le Chantoux.
